Books you can file from

Before corporate tax, many small companies in Dubai kept their books loosely and tidied them once a year for the licence renewal or the bank. That no longer works. Your corporate tax return is built directly on your financial statements, and your VAT returns have to agree with your ledgers.

Our accounting services in Dubai cover the full cycle: recording transactions, reconciling banks, tracking what customers owe you and what you owe suppliers, and producing financial statements that follow IFRS.

You get the numbers on a fixed date each month, with someone to explain them. And because the same firm handles your tax, the books are kept the way the returns need them.

Figures on this page reflect UAE rules as understood in October 2026. We confirm what applies to your company before any filing.

What our accounting and bookkeeping covers

Take the whole function or the parts you need.

  1. Bookkeeping

Sales, purchases, expenses and payroll journals recorded from your documents and bank feeds.

  2. Bank and card reconciliation

Every account reconciled monthly so the cash in the books matches the cash in the bank.

  3. Receivables and payables

Ageing reports, customer statements and supplier payment schedules.

  4. Management accounts

Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow with short commentary, monthly or quarterly.

  5. Year-end financial statements

IFRS financial statements prepared for corporate tax, your free zone authority and your bank, and made ready for audit where one is required.

  6. Catch-up and clean-up

Backlog bookkeeping for past months or years, and correction of books that have drifted.

How we work with you

Two weeks to set up, then a routine you can rely on.

  1. Understand the business

We learn how you sell, buy and get paid, and review the current state of your books.

  2. Set up or tidy up

Chart of accounts, tax codes and opening balances are put right in your accounting software.

  3. Monthly processing

You share documents as you go. We record, reconcile and query anything unclear.

  4. Close and report

Each month is closed and you receive the reports by an agreed date.

  5. Year end

Financial statements are finalised and handed to our tax team, and to your auditor if you have one.

Why accounting firms in Dubai are not all the same

When you compare accounting companies in Dubai, ask these questions. Our guide to choosing an accounting firm in Dubai covers them in more depth.

  • Who does the work? You should know the name of your accountant
  • When do I get my numbers? A fixed monthly date, not when someone gets to it
  • Do you handle tax too? Separate firms for books and tax means gaps between them
  • Who owns the data? Your books should sit in your own software account
  • What is included? A written scope, so there are no surprise invoices

Common questions

Short answers to what owners ask us most.

Ask us something else
Is bookkeeping mandatory for companies in the UAE?

Yes. The corporate tax law requires every taxable person to keep records that support their tax return for seven years, and commercial law has long required companies to keep accounting records.

Do small companies need audited accounts?

For corporate tax, audited financial statements are required when revenue exceeds AED 50 million or the company is a Qualifying Free Zone Person. Many free zone authorities and banks ask for audited accounts regardless of size.

What accounting standard applies in the UAE?

Financial statements used for corporate tax must follow IFRS. Companies with revenue up to AED 50 million may use IFRS for SMEs.

Can I use cash-basis accounting?

A business with revenue of AED 3 million or less may prepare its financial statements on a cash basis for corporate tax. Above that, accrual accounting is required.

How much do accounting services cost in Dubai?

It depends on the number of transactions, bank accounts and entities, and on how often you want reports. We quote a fixed monthly fee after a short review of your books.

Our books are a year behind. Can you fix that?

Yes. Catch-up bookkeeping is a common starting point. We rebuild the records from bank statements and documents, then move you to a monthly routine.
